SAVOURY APPLICATION TECHNOLOGIST

Location: Vienna, Austria

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop (new) savoury application solutions answering our client’s needs.

• Support savoury category manager(s) in delivering the full range of industry standard   applications.

• Be a subject matter expert (SME) in Plant based proteins as well as in soups & sauces.

• Be the technical contact for our savoury customers in SME areas.    

• Maintain an in-dept knowledge of the flavour portfolio.    

• Provides high technical support to clients thanks to an in dept product knowledge and understanding of project briefs.

• Leads the development of concepts and prototypes in line with client requirements and industry processing parameters.

• Select, applies and evaluate  flavour solutions based on best industrial standards considering all project specific requirements.

• Manages Key projects independently.

• Prepare and leads technical client presentations.

• Visit Customers & Supports industrial trials for clients.

• Works in close cooperation with account managers and savoury category teams (Flavourists, technologists, marketeers and GRS).

• Manage the various internal administrative tasks related to product evaluations, project submissions, and application recipe admin work.

• Develop, establish and runs protocols to evaluate product & project solutions and its way of re-production

We value:

• A degree in food technology or equivalent. 

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in the Food Industry. Flavour background preferred.

• Practical food application skills / Pilot plant equipment experience    

• Communication skills in English, written and verbal.

• Good organization, communication & presentation skills

• Project leadership skills and experience

• Strong Team player  

• Independency, ability to take initiative and strong driver for high quality execution
