Warehouse Operative

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Planning and T&D teams to ensure goods are dispatched as agreed with customers, ensuring prompt communication of any issues to Planning and T&D teams as well as Internal Logistics Team Leader.
• Liaise with Planning and T&D teams to ensure goods are received as agreed with suppliers, ensuring prompt communication of any issues to Planning and T&D teams as well as Internal Logistics Team Leader.
• Always work in a safe manner, adhering to all health and safety procedures/requirements.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of warehouse to maintain a safe and suitable working environment.
• Ensure finished product is prepared to the correct shipping standards.
• Ensure required stock movements are carried out in a safe and timely manner.
• Play an active role in cycle counting and inventory management.
• Safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles arriving at Firmenich.
• To ensure all daily checks and reports are completed and communicated to appropriate personnel.
• Attend a daily team meeting; QHSE, KPI’s, delivery, people etc.
• Be responsible for cleaning manual handing equipment; forklifts, VNA trucks, order pickers and electric pallet trucks need to be cleaned and maintained on a minimum of a weekly basis.
• Where required, support the collection of raw materials from the warehouse including delivery to the relevant department.

Occasional Duties:
• Support planning and logistics with exceptional requests
• Be flexible in regard to overtime requests to support business requirement during peak period

 

We value:
• Good level of general education to minimum A Level standard. Experience within FMCG/Consumer goods or automation industry.
• Excellent level of organisational skills and engaging communicator with ability to prioritise the demands of the working day. Proven experience of working in an administrative environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong IT skills required with experience of Office 365, Microsoft Teams. SAP knowledge preferred.
• Experience of ordering and controlling engineering spare parts stock.
• Ability to cope under pressure and work flexibly.
