Senior Quality Control Technician, 2nd Shift
Key Responsibilities:
• Prioritize / separate samples and other team activities, ensuring all analyst daily work is performed through the Global Quality Control LEAN Workflow model to complete all testing and final Quality disposition decisions on Quality Control Samples.
• Provide necessary Team coordination to ensure defined Quality Control processes are functioning as designed and appropriate sample prioritization is maintained,
• Ability to Flex in & out of cycles (including for PTO coverage), to ensure Team responsiveness against SLA for handling routine samples to assist with other assigned Quality - - Control responsibilities and Quality Assurance support requests. Work with team to resolve Quality Control process bottlenecks as needed and escalate as appropriate.
•Analyze raw material, in-process, and finished product samples via GC and GCMS according to established SOP's. Prioritize / separate samples and organize their testing per established SOP's. Provide and maintain system and procedure updates, improvements, and provide Quality Control Support to Nonconformance and non-routine Quality Control samples.
We Value:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, or related science plus 3-5 years’ experience. Previous Quality Control experience in an analytical lab or sensory lab; skills to include wet chemistry, specific Gravity, Refractive index, titrations. Prior GC, GCMS, or Flavors and/or Fragrance sensory experience are preferable.
• Demonstrated expertise is a specialized competency such as GC interpretation, Sensory evaluation, or other key non-routine analysis. SAP knowledge preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
