MRO Planner, Buyer & Inventory Lead

Key Responsibilities
•Place Purchase Orders in SRM for all parts, services and supplies as needed for maintenance and sanitation.
•Communicate PO’s to the appropriate vendor or supplier.
•Get quotes for all parts needed and ensure Firmenich is getting the best price for the material needed.
•Ensure use of proper purchasing procedures as per Firmenich guidelines.  These include issuing a PO prior to ordering a part or service, timely receipt and disposition of invoices, getting competitive bids when appropriate, ensuring conflicts
•Work with Corporate on national contracts, to include understanding what they are, how they impact they department’s purchasing and implementing them into our purchasing process.
•Work with Engineers on project purchases, obtaining bids and writing contracts.
•Set up all the Stockroom areas to ensure parts are organized, easy to find, easy to access, easy to transact and labeled.
•Learn, understand and maintain the CMMS database to ensure all parts are in inventory at the proper levels.
•Perform cycle counts as needed to ensure accurate inventory
•Run a Stock Replenishment Report to determine which parts need to be purchased and order them.
•When parts arrive, inspect them, receive them into the system, label them and place them properly into stock.
•Set up and maintain the Asset Hierarchy;
•Create and Maintain all PM’s;
•Create and maintain Planned Job Packages and Repetitive Work Orders;
•Create Planned Work Orders, set up jobs to the proper detail;
•Create Work Orders generated from corrective actions in the IMS / AMS systems and ensure timely closure
•Work with Maintenance Leaders and Technicians to develop the Maintenance Strategy for all assets.  This includes using Reliability-Centered Maintenance and Maintenance Excellence strategies to create:  PM’s – Inspection, Predictive and Lubrication; Repetitive Work Orders;oPlanned Job Packages; Contractor-Based Inspections.


•High School Diploma or equivalent, and two years college or equivalent work experience preferred as a as maintenance planner or coordinator, MRO Buyer and Stockroom Attendant.
Experience in food facility, purchasing, maintenance and CMMS software is required. Knowledge of SAP a plus.  
•Knowledge of Maintenance Excellence and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) a plus.
•Experience with regulatory requirements necessary.
