Senior Category Culinary Manager

Facilitate different functions across the region to ensure the coordination and execution of strategic growth initiatives for the Seasoning and Alternative Protein Category. Own the development and commercialization of the pro-active initiatives roll-out by working closely with the Technical partners to translate technical solutions into value proposition for our customer brands across the region. Translate Innovation growth program into unique and specific market and customer solutions.


The Senior Category Culinary Manager reports to the Senior Director, BU Savoury, Asia Pacific


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop category growth initiatives in Partnership with markets
  • Promote and represent the Category in the region, drive the category from a business development and marketing perspective in line with the global category strategy and lead the execution in the region and provide project leadership for Marketing projects
  • Provide category leadership and to share all category related initiatives / information within the Product Innovation Team
  • Develop and/or launch high quality product promotions to drive growth in key product lines as part of the category strategy
  • Tracking of category vitality on a monthly basis and the promotion effectiveness on a quarterly basis with corrective actions when required
  • To stay updated and understand market trends, category dynamics and product solutions  as a platform for innovation and the department sales and to disseminate this relevant information across the cross functional teams
  • To work closely with regional sales teams, understanding the markets, customers and requirements and Zone marketing teams to leverage and deliver global learnings, trend reviews and best practice to optimum local advantage


We value:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Sales & Marketing/Food Science/Chemistry
  • Minimum 10 years of marketing and/or sales experiences
  • Brand understanding and Brand concepts development
  • Good sense in acquiring industry knowledge and market information
  • Good analytical skill, capable of doing in-depth analysis, providing in-sight to industry trends, market needs and possible packages to address gaps identified
  • Excellent presentation, communication, organization, time management, and new business/sales development skills
  • Result-oriented, strong business development and project management skills
