Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Business Partner for Region or Function, under the supervision of Legal Director
  • Leads complex negotiations for the designated  region or function
  • Provides strategic legal advice for the region/function, managing risk vs group objectives;
  • Supports Legal Director in strategic litigation; leads moderately complex litigation in the region/function;
  • Identifies unmet needs and future legal issues and proactively proposes strategies to optimize outcomes and results for the company;
  • Partners with business clients;
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of Firmenich’s business and knowledge of the broader business impact
  • Identifies need for, develops and promotes legal tools, processes and guidelines;
  • Manages outside counsel to actual quality;
  • Performs training;
  • Takes part in and  implements L&C and CL&IP  transformation  initiatives, driving for speed, efficiency and quality;
  • Keeps abreast of changes in laws that affect Firmenich business.                                                                                                                                                                           Manage the Company’s whistleblowing hotline and carry out internal investigations, as needed
  • Review and draft Business Ethics Policies and manage the Corporate Policy Management program
  • Develop other Business Ethics programs based on identified risk
  • Develop and deliver Business Ethics training courses and communication activities
  • Any other matters as per instruction of VP Business Ethics or internal requests

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant disciplines
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in a business environment
  • Proven track record in delivering complex projects on time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience in internal investigations
  • Strong in Data analytics
