Account Manager

In an account management role, the Account Manager will ultimately be responsible to develop and lead the implementation of winning fragrance solution to defend the significant existing business and drive further business growth in South-East Asia, in close collaboration with the regional/global commercial and the development team.


Additionally, the Account Manager will be responsible for managing strategic aspects of the Firmenich long term business relationship with the client in Region and beyond.


Continued growth of the Global Business Unit (GBU) and an increased focus on South-East Asia as a key region has resulted in an increased level of fragrance development in all categories.  We expect this trend to continue and foresee exciting opportunities to be a part of our exceptional team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure we become our clients’ reference and preference; translate and anticipate customer requirements and manage customer expectations by effective communication and mobilization of resources.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative, positive, insightful and sustainable relationship with regional and global key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Define & Drive selected strategic initiatives in collaboration with regional & global commercial & category leaders to defend existing business and to capture new business opportunities in the region, to ultimately drive revenue growth at a sustainable margin
  • Build a solid understanding on rapidly changing consumer needs in the region with the CI and development team and successfully translate the insights and solutions into written and verbal communication that is persuasive to our client.


We value:

  • 3-5 years of solid track record in account management or product development in a global environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business management, Business Economics, Chemistry or any other relevant discipline
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required and fluency in other Southeast-Asian language (Tagalog, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Thai) will be advantageous
  • Strong customer-focused and results-driven attitude, with strong project management skills and confident with compelling presentation and storytelling skills
  • Attention to details, flexibility, learning agility and resilience
  • Competent olfactive knowledge with experience of working with fragrances or fragrance consumer products, understanding of customer dynamics, consumer trends, market dynamics and the industry landscape role will be considered as an advantage
