Sr. Account Manager, UL GBU

Location: Shanghai, China

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand UL GBU CHINA account vision, missions, objectives, develop commercial strategy, implement through account plan. Identify and document business potentials and competitive landscape
  • Understands local customer organization deeply and develops a CHINA specific strategy for immediate growth and future leadership. Drive projects towards the best possible solutions for both Unilever and Firmenich
  • Is close to local customer organization at all levels with commercial savviness to ensure access to locally decided briefs and propose proactive briefs
  • Motivates cross functional Team for best performance in an environment that is competing for resources
  • Establishes sales & expense budgets for relevant category in collaboration with GBU Leadership and Global Commercial Operations. Is accountable for budget delivery.
  • Works with the rest of GBU to constantly advance/enhance Firmenich’s “way of doing business” for more simplicity, responsiveness, speed & agility. Embraces change easily with openness to new work models.

 

We Value:

  • Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent (business administration, economics, marketing, science...). Minimum 5 years fragrance/ingredient sales experience, or sales/marketing experience in FMCG
  • Ability to develop successfully client relationship and prepare and deliver insightful and well-organized presentations to clients
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, define, prioritize and implement action plans
  • Good team player, seen as a strong partner by the development teams involved in clients’ projects
  • Strong business acumen (pricing, sales & profitability, expenses, client overdues),
  • Empathic self-starter with excellent people skills, passion for clients and products
