SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

Key Responsibilities:

Assure we become our clients’ reference and preference; translate and anticipate customer requirements and manage customer expectations by effective communication and mobilization of resources.
Establish/ Maintain excellent relationship to client at all levels including the most senior level within the area of responsibility; fully understand the decision-making process and way of doing business; provide client with optimal service; have in-depth brand and consumer insights knowledge.
Have experience of, be willing to, define consumer needs, and work closely with CI and the creative teams often immersed in market to deliver solutions that meet these needs.  Be able to successful translate the insights and solutions into written and verbal communication that is persuasive to our client.
Provide regular update to Client & P&G GBU Team on key insightful activities happening in China (new launches, activities in the market, interesting consumers insights that could translate into perfume execution).
Lead selected Beauty Care/Fabric projects/initiatives in China (drives planning and execution with the regional team: brief management using Firmenich IS tools provided regular price calculation, timing, client contact, internal project management, consumer research, technical and regulatory affairs, as aligned with Regional Leaders.
Drive client engagement on market updates (lead and organize monthly client connects to share the Competitive Market Landscaping for Safeguard & Pantene), Social Media Monitoring (identify a cost-effective company that monitor Blogs, e-commerce, messaging and social networking platforms in China in order to monitor Pantene, Safeguard and competitive brands), fragrance inspiration (Olfactive Snapshot) and other value adding interaction related to projects (Beauty & Fabric & Home Care).
Represent the P&G GBU in China perfumery leadership team and defend the interest of the P&G GBU to insure appropriate resources are allocated to meet business targets.
Position is based in Firmenich Shanghai but will need frequent travels (monthly or bi-monthly basis) and prolonged stay in Singapore to interact face to face with P&G key stakeholders managing P&G China projects and with the P&G GBU core team in Singapore.


We value:

Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent (business administration, economics, marketing, science...). Minimum 5 years fragrance/ingredient sales experience, or sales/marketing experience in FMCG.
Ability to develop successfully client relationship and prepare and deliver insightful and well-organized presentations to clients .
Ability to develop strategic plans, define, prioritize and implement action plans
Good team player, seen as a strong partner by the development teams involved in clients’ projects.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinker.
Empathic self-starter with excellent people skills, passion for clients and products
Mandarin mother tongue, fluent in English, Cantonese a plus.
