Marketing and BD Associate Director - Savory

Location: Shanghai, China


Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the Savory Market Landscape in China. Analyze market trends and data from internal and external databases and interpret with insight and foresight to identify trends and generate concept ideas. Initiate market research for trend insights where necessary
  • Define and implement our strategy to be successful. Bring added value by translating relevant marketing & consumer insights into inspiring and relevant flavor solutions supporting Firmenich and our client’s product developments.
  • Work as action leader in reactive project / workshop / innovation day together with other BD functions and present total solution to clients
  • Prepare and conduct market trend presentations with innovation concepts to key clients. Developing marketing Collaterals promote Firmenich flavor solutions and develop the market.
  • Build and maintain relationship with other Global and Zone Marketing and Business Development teams for collaboration and leverage of work and information
  • Inspire whole Savory team, coach and manage Junior marketing team members


We value:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Marketing, Food Science, Business Administration or similar
  • >10 years proven track record in flavor Marketing, Sales or Business Development for Savory Food or related Specialty Chemical Industry B2B,or similar
  • Ability to Lead through Vision and Values, Strategic thinking, Engaging presentation skill, Decision Making, Planning & Organizing, Building Partnerships internally and externally, Coaching.
  • Technical / Professional Knowledge & Skills in Marketing and Market insights, Generate market insights from Data sources such as Euromonitor, GNPD, Social Media
  • Excellent PowerPoint Skills, basic level Movie editing, and Image editing experience a plus
