Associate Scientist, Naturals

Pay Range: $87,000 - $109,000


Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and lead research projects to purify/ fractionate natural materials for screening, and identify the active components
  • Optimize purification methods as needed to support follow up activities such as sensory evaluation
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues on an interdisciplinary research team focused on receptor-based discovery of new natural ingredients
  • Perform analysis of data and write technical reports as needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners in relevant technical fields as needed.

  • Knowledge and experience in laboratory chemistry
  • A general understanding of HPLC, NMR and sample preparation
  • Experience with natural products isolation and purification is a plus
  • REQUIRED: PhD or M.S. in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or other degree, with relevant experience in natural products purification and structure determination. 1 to 4 years of lab experience in the analysis/purification of natural products
