The Regional Benefits Leader will lead the North America strategy, design, implementation and day to day administration of US group health and welfare programs as well as Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution (401K) plans.

Your key responsibilities
• Strategy and administration of the Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit programs (401 (k) and pension)
• Benefits vendor and consultant selection and relationship management
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefits programs such as workers compensation, and FMLA.
• Coordinates preparation and filling of required reports, ie ERISA, 5500s, Summary Plan Descriptions
• Manages annual benefits open enrollment process
• Participates in merger and acquisition due diligence as required and leads benefit integration for any future acquisitions.
• Provides support with reductions in force by coordinating production of severance letters and benefits upon termination notices

You bring
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in HR with emphasis on Benefit Strategy and Administration; Preferred: CEBS accreditation
• Excellent understanding of benefits design, benchmarking, and market analysis.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to benefits
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take complex concepts and processes and make them simple
Important notes
This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades’ design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles’ nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
