DSM-Firmenich is a global leader in the Perfumery & Beauty industry, providing innovative solutions to customers around the world. We have an immediate opportunity for a Production & Logistic Director for our Development & Production site at La Plaine/Geneva (350 employees), part of a wide production network for the Ingredient Division of DSM-Firmenich.

As a member of site leadership team, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated leader, energetic and team-oriented personality with sound technical and chemical skills to drive performance and develop 160 talents across several multipurpose workshops with many complex industrial processes. You will also support the Ingredient Division strategy and embrace changes through process transfers for existing and new ingredients with our innovation team.

Key responsibilities:

• Provides leadership to deliver products on time, in quality and achieve financials goals (productivity, yield)
• Ensure Production & Logistic teams comply with processes, procedures for all activities, driven by a best-in-class safety culture, operational excellence and continuous improvement
• Contribute to the achievement of DSM-Firmenich ESG 2030 objectives based on the Climate, Nature and Human pillars
• Maintains a positive work environment/culture that fosters efficiency and high morale and develop operational talent
• Steer operational expenses aligned with budget and ensure good ownership on capital project execution
• Lead organizational initiatives to align workforce plans with business needs and Ingredient Division strategy
• Drives cost optimization projects as well as capacity adaptation and contribute to assets reliability programs
• Develop strong relationships with R&D, aligned with development site mission to maximize value generation and reduce environmental footprint of our activities
• Promote DSM-Firmenich values and policies

You bring:

• MSc degree in chemistry or chemical engineering
• + 10 years of relevant experience in progressive senior roles in Operations with high exposure on safety and proven skills on people management
• Teamplayer and results driven, dynamic and proactive personality with high ethical standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, demonstrated ability to influence and motivate multiple stakeholders and collaborators at all levels of the organization
• Extensive knowledge of production excellence and project management
• Experience on Factory of the future with Six sigma/ lean manufacturing/ continuous improvement techniques a plus
• Fluent in French & English
