Senior Sourcing Manager, Indirect Procurement- Pri



We have an immediate opportunity for a Sourcing Manager North America – CAPEX/Operations to join the Indirect purchasing team based in Plainsboro. His/her mission will be to support and execute purchasing strategies and sourcing activities for CAPEX projects and Operations services and supplies categories. Capex responsibilities will include both facility and medium and large size Capex projects consisting of construction of new facilities, expansion and/or upgrade of existing facilities, and process and utility equipment purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an integrated Business Partners, foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders in order to understand their vision and implement business aligned strategies
  • Provide deep understanding of the categories market expertise and monitoring of competitive factors. Act as the “owner” of unit prices and cost structures
  • Develop, implement and drive the Best In Class Sourcing Strategy for the assigned categories according to the TCO approach while ensuring quality, availability and competitiveness for all sourced components and services
  • Align your strategic approach through your business acumen to the overall company strategy while considering all factors which might influence your categories (economics, alternative technologies, competitors, digitalization, cost drivers etc.)
  • Ensure the deployment and alignment of the sourcing strategy across the organization. Drive cost efficiency and performance improvement projects to achieve outstanding results
  • Create and maintain Partnerships with your suppliers by coaching, challenging and supporting them in order to optimize and develop supplier relationship and ensure Best In Class sourcing practices (Vendor Relationship Management programs)
  • Be active part of project teams to identify, understand, and fulfill the needs
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives in other areas of Indirect Spend

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business, Supply Chain Management major and/or Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in Indirect Purchasing including proven experiences in CAPEX/Operation spend is a must
  • Experience in flavors, fragrances and ingredients, Food, pharma, and others similar industries preferable
  • Energy and other categories of Indirect Spend being a strong plus
  • Technical skills in computing and using software at advanced level for Excel and SAP including ARIBA, or other procurement and ERP systems
  • International Travel required (approx. 20%)
