Senior Account Manager - Los Angeles or Princeton

Key Responsibilities
•    Identify and Pitch new fast growing businesses in the USA in order to establish Firmenich as the leading partner for their Consumer Fragrance Needs.
•    Generate new clients that will bring mid to large scale new business opportunities for Firmenich North America’s Consumer Fragrance Divsion (New target clients will typically be companies valued $20million+ in revenue)
•    Support the acceleration of existing New Business group clients as needed, with demonstrated proactivity, creativity and business savvy consultancy as needed. 
•    Target clientele will be heavily directed to West Coast business opportunities. Therefore demonstrated passion and knowledge about Conscious consumer product offerings driving the West Coast market will be highly regarded.
•    Demonstrated ability to deliver and create engaging sales presentations/pitches. Advanced Powerpoint skills preferred. 
•    Assure Firmenich is perceived by New business clients as the reference and preference for all fragrance needs, and effectively mobilize Firmenich’s global resources and network for success. Translate and anticipate customer requirements and manage customer expectations with effective communication with all stakeholders at the client. Qualify and document business potentials for Firmenich, and decipher the competitive landscape and white space opportunities for clients.
•    Establish/ Maintain excellent client relationships at all levels including the most senior level within the area of responsibility; fully understand the decision-making process and way of doing business; provide client with optimal service; and convey strong brand and category insights. Product categories may include (Personal Care, Household Care and Oral Care)
•    Have experience of, be willing to, define consumer needs, and work closely with CI and the creative teams often immersed in market to deliver solutions that meet these needs.  Be able to successfully translate the insights and solutions into written and verbal communication that is persuasive to our clients.
•    Leverage overall capabilities of Firmenich’s Creative Center experts (technology, marketing, fragrance creation) across all key product categories. Manage fragrance creation projects effectively with the support of project manager and guidance of new business development Directors.
•    Lead selected projects/initiatives in North America (drives planning and execution with the regional team: brief management using Firmenich IS tools provided, including price calculation, timing, client contact, internal project management, consumer research, technical and regulatory affairs, as aligned with Regional Leaders).
•    Synthesize complicated elements, marketing / product concepts, trends, ideas and consumers insights and translate these into concrete actionable ideas for both internal development groups, and clients.


•    High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors preferred 
•    5-7 years fragrance/ingredient sales experience, or sales/marketing experience in FMCG.
•    Excellent administrative and computer skills including MS office suite Ability to multi-task, solve problems and work in a fast pace environment. 
•    Strong Powerpoint and presentation skills required
•    Good communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Detailed oriented, with a high level of organization skills
•    Our preferred location is Los Angeles, CA; other location to be considered is Princeton, NJ
