Scientist - Princeton, NJ


Key Responsibilities:
• Lead/contribute to multidisciplinary innovation programs by providing insights and data from an analytical chemistry perspective.
• Explore analytical techniques, develop and apply advanced methods to analyze volatile and non-volatile compounds, ingredients in complex flavor and fragrance samples.
• Within the global analytical team, participate in the processing of large sets of analytical data using advanced data processing methodologies.
• Build and manage strategic scientific relationships with research partners from other teams such as cellular biology, materials science or synthetic chemistry.
• Build strategic scientific relationships with external experts, both academic and industrial for collaboration programs.
• Supervise one or more technicians on specific research projects.
 
Requirements:
• PhD in analytical chemistry, or related field with strong analytical chemistry experience
• Sound knowledge of organic chemistry. Ability to leverage organic chemistry knowledge to interpret experimental results and design experiments.
• Solid knowledge and experience of all the various aspects related to chemical analysis (sample preparation, development and validation of analytical methods based on GC, GC/MS, HPLC, and LC/MS).
• Experience in data processing and statistical tools. Programming skills are a plus.
• Track record of independently leading and delivering complex projects.
• Interdisciplinary mindset.
• Leadership skills, capability to develop technicians and inspire colleagues.
• Fluent in English.
