Automation Reliability Engineer - Princeton, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive plant reliability strategy.
  • Responsible for improving equipment availability and reliability through the implementation of the following processes:  Continuous improvement and defect elimination through RCA (Root Cause Analysis); Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) through the implementation of condition based monitoring, planned preventative maintenance and accurate maintenance practices
  • Drive cost reduction through reliability and automation; identify the plant’s critical equipment and instruments and develop the spare parts program, develop the critical equipment Preventative Maintenance Program, develop maintain and optimize the Preventive Maintenance Program for the plant.
  • Implement best Proactive maintenance practices including lubrication, laser alignment and implement condition based maintenance technologies including vibration and oil analysis, IR thermography, ultrasonic testing and NDT
  • Responsible for defining PM and PdM procedures and frequency of implementation
  • Provide periodic asset utilization accounting and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data
  • Initiate and implement maintenance related small capital projects that result in improvement of process efficiency, upgrading of utility systems or improved operational safety.
  • Support maintenance and engineering groups as needed.
  • Enforce all Firmenich and filial specific maintenance safety policies and procedures.

 

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably  electrical, automation and control technologies
  • 3-5 years of engineering / maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant environment preferably with continuous operating equipment and discrete unit operations specifically with rotating components.
  • Specific experience with creation and implementation of reliability based maintenance technologies such but not limited to automation & controls, PLC, vibration analysis, IR thermography, oil analysis,  lubrication, etc.
