Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a positive safety culture with the belief that all injuries can be prevented
- Coaching and mentoring all direct reports for development and succession planning
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanism needed to monitor production rates, yields, and quality, cost variances.
- Identify areas for improvement in process, equipment, and training, ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed
- Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives, understand requirements, meet production specifications and deadlines. Coordinate production activities with engineering, maintenance and quality control activities
- Utilize effective troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis to monitor, assess and resolve production issues with staff and equipment.
- Supervise, coach, develop and evaluate performance of production personnel with a goal of cross training staff , ensuring that cGMP procedures and practices are maintained and followed.
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, operations management or similar field.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a chemical or food/beverage manufacturing environment
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Sanitation experience, preferably in a perfumery and/or food/beverage facility.
