Maintenance Mechanic Technician- Princeton, NJ

Maintenance Mechanic
 


Key Responsibilities:
Participates as a key member of the Maintenance Department to help facilitate an efficiently running department.  This position will play an important role in maintaining plant process equipment and mechanical repair and installation work of high skill level

•    Daily repair of all chemical plant process equipment as required and as trained.
•    Fill out and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out and Work permits, maintain a safe working environment.
•    Dependent on training, mechanical repairs of all plant process equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
•    Troubleshooting of equipment, as needed, to maintain and keep equipment in operation including pneumatic or electrical driven pumps and mixers, automated compounding machines and automated warehouse cranes.
•    Assist other maintenance personnel as needed.
•    Repair and rebuild of process equipment.
•    Installation of new capital equipment as necessary.
•    Oversee and work of outside contractors.
•    Other duties may be required and assigned as necessary.

Requirements:

•    High School Diploma or GED required
•    Requires two years technical school training in a related field or equivalent work experience.
•    Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical or food/beverage manufacturing environment with technical experience as a mechanic. Machinist, electrical, pipe fitter or welding experience would be a plus.
•    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret statistical data, general business periodicals, professional journals, engineering diagrams, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and employees.
•    Ability to work with mathematical and statistical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
•    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to critically evaluate results, make recommendations and reports on projects.  
•    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, and SAP.
