Fine Fragrance Innovation Scientist/Sr.
Princeton, NJ, US
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory position requiring 4-5 days a week in the Laboratory/Office in Princeton NJ and monthly travel to NYC office supporting account teams on active projects
- Reporting to Director of Fine Fragrance Innovation developing and deploying technologies to market
- Independently lead technology platform for Fine Fragrance from validation to commercialization
- Validate technology by experimental analyses with GC-MS and olfactive evaluation on performance of fragrance technologies and delivery systems
- Method development, experimental design, sample preparation, collect and interpret data on GC-MS and panel proctoring to share findings and next steps via report and internal presentation
- Work closely with cross-functional collaborators including account teams, R&D, Consumer Insights, Sensory on deploying existing technologies while developing future pipeline innovation
- Document the work via research reports, peer presentations and generation of IP patent space
We value:
- Familiarity with GC-MS static and dynamic headspace analysis equipment and analytical techniques
- Experience with Agilent MassHunter software is preferred but not required and ability to quickly learn new systems/software is desirable
- Experience in olfactive fragrance evaluation and fragrance design and physiochemical properties is preferred
- Strong self-motivation and initiative in an independent environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Attention to detail and follow-through on project details and deadlines
- Passion of learning new things and utilizing in novel applications
- REQUIRED – BS/MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline with 5-10 years of industrial or academic laboratory experience. PhD with 2-3 years of experience or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience. Title and compensation commensurate with experience
