Consumer Insights Manager / Sr. - Princeton, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop consumer insights in support of the North America Flavors Division for US clients and US-based global clients, including designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting results on primary research studies relating to food and beverage
  • Conducts all aspects of consumer research including U&A studies, concept testing, consumer segmentation, benchmarking, taste optimization, taste validation and qualitative explorations
  • Extract insight from secondary data sources (Mintel, Euromonitor, etc) to add value and thought-leadership for our internal and external customers
  • Partner with internal partners & stakeholders to leverage insights and consumer understanding to drive innovation development  
  • Interact, present and share thought leadership with customers on a regular basis
  • Blend consumer understanding with sensory testing findings to elevate our perspective across product performance and human behavior
  • Nurture a Consumer Insights culture, foster necessary changes & acts as role model.



  • 5+ years of experience in consumer research/insights/analytics at a Flavor House, CPG Company, and/or Marketing Consultancy
  • Bachelor's degree required in either Consumer/Market Research, Consumer Science, Psychology or Analytics.  Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong statistical knowledge needed.  Experience with statistical packages used by Consumer & Market Research including SPSS, ExcelStat, JMP and/or SAS a plus
