Chef, Flavors-Springdale, Arkansas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate on technical selling team. Develop strategic relationships, both internal & external
  • Support on site work sessions as required.  Support sales calls with Account Manager as required
  • Manage project briefs & facilitate required actions to meet project objectives
  • Develop working knowledge of ingredients, formulations & processes
  • Record recipe development data using Firmenich software
  • Execute formula instructions with speed and accuracy
  • Maintain knowledge of clients’ brands, strategies, and products
  • Works as part of a collaborative team both internally and with external partners to deliver against assigned projects
  • Lead project initiatives with minimal supervision. Carry out various food/flavor/culinary applications on the laboratory and pilot plant levels
  • Develop internal and external network of working relationships within technical and culinary communities
  • Support Key projects contributing to the growth and strategy of the Savory Segment
  • Participate and lead Culinary innovation at designated clients
  • Participates in the development of concepts and prototypes aligned with client and industry processing standards
  • Participates in providing culinary gold standards for projects and innovation pipeline products
  • Maintain organized, clean/safe lab environment. Support environmental safety standards


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science , Culinary Arts, or Culinology
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Chef and/or Food Technologist
  • Knowledge and understanding of common cooking equipment and materials
  • Knowledge of flavors and application of flavors in food systems
  • Ability to travel between client sites and Firmenich sites is a must. 25-50% travel time required (Chicago, IL and Princeton, NJ)
