Chef Designer, Flavors-Springdale, Arkansas




Applies Culinary Anthropology™ in order to bring differentiated and valued solutions to client specific projects.  The Chef Designer contributes to the growth of the Savory Segment through the execution of the Culinary Strategy in close collaboration with key stake holders. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Spearheads Culinary Opportunity Development in line with growth targets
  • Leads Chef to Shelf translations.
  • “Culinary Point of Contact” for specified client.
  • Participates in Culinary Anthropology sessions with targeted clients.
  • Works as part of the North American Savory Team to deliver against assigned projects
  • Leads & Participates in the development of concepts and prototypes in line with client and industry processing parameters.
  • Participate in ideation sessions and Food Treks
  • Lead and or participate in customer experiences
  • Organize Culinary demonstrations highlighting new prototypes



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science , Culinary Arts or Culinology
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Chef and/or Food Technologist
  • Knowledge and understanding of common cooking equipment and materials
  • Knowledge of flavors and application of flavors in food systems
  • Ability to travel between client sites and Firmenich sites is a must. 25-50% travel time required.
