Automation Engineer, Princeton NJ

Key Responsibilities:

•    Gathers and Analyses Production Data to Identify Process Optimization Opportunities in Manufacturing through Process Automation
•    Develops Process Automation & Project Management Documentation Standards
•    Defines Requirements, Deliverables and Responsibilities for Process Automation in CAPEX & OPEX Projects as it pertains to operations
•    Develops Process Control Training Standards and Change Management for Plant Operation Personnel
•    Assists in Development and Implementation of Cyber Security Standards for Process Control Networks
•    Assists in the Development of MES Integration with the Process Control Networks and Process Data Collection Systems
•    Develops RFPs for Process Control System Components as it Pertains to Network Integration/Communication, Particularly in the areas of Control System Integrity and Remote Connectivity 



•    Networking principles, protocols, selection, design, hardware, wiring (including fiberoptics), routers, switches, firewalls
•    Databases (SQL, Oracle)
•    Programming languages (Visual Basic, Excel)
•    Cyber security principles and implementation
•    Support, maintenance, and backups
•    Loop Tuning – Field Instrument (temp breathing instrument) – wired to a control system and when you finish making sure that the loop is closed (making sure the signal is coming through the loop system) 10 – 20% or -20 – 1mil degree 
•    Batch principles, design, and configuration
•    Alarm Management
•    Configuration of fieldbuses (FF, AS-i, Profibus, Device net)

•    Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software.
•    Strong Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
•    Education: Bachelors Degree Preferred or 5 years of relevant experience around Automation and Data Analytics.
