From engaging networking events to valuable resume-building experience, we’re committed to preparing you for a fulfilling and enduring career, both at dsm-firmenich and beyond.   We are currently looking for a Summer Intern to work with Material Planning at our Plainsboro, NJ manufacturing facility. Internships begin the first week of June through the third week of August.  Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (40 hours per week).

 

As a supply chain intern, you will be responsible for pulling monthly forecasts and sharing them with suppliers, assisting material planners with PO confirmation follows, assisting the IG planner with a project to align SUT's for IG raw PIR's, helping back up planners on PTO, and generating expiration reports and following up with Quality for rebirths. Your key responsibilities

  • Pull monthly forecasts and share them with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Assist material planners with PO confirmation follows to ensure accuracy of orders.
  • Assist the IG planner with a project to align SUT's for IG raw PIR's to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Help back up planners on PTO to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Generate expiration reports and follow up with Quality for rebirths to maintain quality and safety standards.

You bring

  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and have completed at least two full years of graduate study prior to the start of the internship
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hour per week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 3, 2024 – August 23, 2024.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
