Internships begin the first week of June through the third week of August. 

Our standard working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week) 

 

Working with the onsite Engineering and Facilities Management team, this role will support the Plainsboro energy program by capturing and reporting the infrastructure assets.  The list will be used to update our CMMS program and support the site energy management plan

Your key responsibilities 

  • Work with the site engineers and maintenance team to complete the building asset list for the Plainsboro campus. 
  • Review the floor plans and building asset list to map assets to correct locations. 
  • Perform a detailed physical inventory of the building infrastructure assets.  
  • Collaborate with capital project planning to incorporate new assets into the tracking system. 
  • Collaborate with site engineers to develop the asset risk ranking methodology. 
  • Support onsite energy audits

You bring 

  • Currently working on completion of a degree in mechanical, civil, industrial, architectural engineering preferred and have completed at least two full years of study prior to the start of the internship.  
  • Understanding of building systems and project management skills preferred. 
  • Must be able to work in roofs, mechanical and electrical rooms, or on roofs to gather asset data 
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time (37.5/40 hour per week) for 12 weeks beginning on June 5, 2024 – August 18, 2024.
