Pay range - $105K - 132K
In this role, you will develop cell-based assays to probe how we detect odors. You will develop solutions to complex biological and technical problems, and will collaborate with a diverse group of passionate and intellectually curious scientists. You will also plan and execute multiple projects, identifying new experimental approaches and will share your results with the Science & Research team.

Your key responsibilities
- Support fundamental and applied human olfaction science in the flavor and fragrance industry.
- Develop in vitro cell-based assays amenable to high-throughput biochemical screening
- Maintain awareness of novel approaches and technologies to identify opportunities to improve current procedures, protocols, and systems.
- Analyze, interpret and communicate data in cross-functional teams to drive project progress.

You bring
- Masters in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biology or related field with 2+ years of experience in an academic or industry R&D laboratory, or Bachelors with 5+ years post-undergraduate laboratory experience.
- Experience in cell-based assay optimization.
- Experience in protein functionalization including cell surface targeting would be an advantage.
- Practical and theoretical expertise in biochemistry, pharmacology, and cellular and molecular biology. Drug-discovery or plate-based screening experience would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to become proficient with new technologies (equipment and software) and innovate on processes.
- Experience with Computer software such as Excel, GraphPad Prism, PowerPoint.
