2023 Summer Sales Ops (NOAM) Internship

From networking events to resume building we’ll set you up for a long and rewarding career, at Firmenich & beyond.  Our New York, NY office is seeking an intern for our Business Operations/NOAM Sales in Perfumery. 

 

Internship to begin first week of June and goes through to the last week of August.  

The working hours are Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week) 

 

Key Responsibilities:
The role will rotate from one operations topic to another (depending on needs); however, it will touch upon key aspects on the fragrance supply chain and brand performance.

  • Work with a broad range of datasets, undertaking analysis with great attention to detail
  • Build database of clients’ annual reports
  • Liase with current operations team to analyze ad-hoc reports for in-house needs
  • Monitor the launch grid of the American market across all segments and applications convert data into a visual presentation (includes fragrance house, dosage, brand positioning, olfactive)
  • Maintain upkeeping of client contacts
  • Review current client portfolio and conduct a master data cleansing exercise

 

Requirements:

  • A data-driven critical thinker and problem solver – Using data and logic to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and synthesize and present critical information to solve complex problems
  • Be agile and organized by thriving in fast-paced and dynamic environments
  • Sense of urgency and ability to deliver impact with insights
  • Experience in turning data into actionable insights, building models, and tracking indicators
  • Confident presenting data to a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders, to deliver insights that land with impact
  • Proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel
  • Previous Experience with any of the tools: CRM, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau
  • Have a BA, BS or MS degree in economics/business, statistics, engineering, mathematics, chemistry or a related field from an elite institution
