2nd shift Production Supervisor - New Ulm, MN

Key Responsibilities:

Participate as a key member of the Manufacturing staff to help facilitate and efficiently run the department.  The Production Supervisor will provide leadership for all manufacturing functions as well as demonstrate good decision making abilities under pressure, attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills.  The position will coordinate daily activities as well as assist long term strategy objectives.  Responsible for managing and supervising the aspects of safety, quality, and productivity for all manufacturing areas as well as driving efficiencies throughout the department.  

 

  • Oversee daily operations of all manufacturing areas and troubleshoot as needed and ensure that safety, quality, productivity goals and timelines are met. 
  • Manage manufacturing staffing needs to ensure alignment with production demands across the departments.
  • Work cross functionally with the Quality and Maintenance departments on process improvements.
  • Support the site Safety Manager and the initiatives of Health, Safety, and Environment.
  • Develop and revise site policies and procedures as needed.
  • Maintain reporting mechanism needed to monitor production rates, yields, and quality, cost/rate variances.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Preferably in engineering, operations management, or similar field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a food manufacturing facility
  • Supervisory experience in a food/beverage manufacturing environment
  • Experience with LEAN Manufacturing and Sanitation in a food manufacturing facility
