Health Safety Environmental Manager

Key Responsibilities:
•    Be a well-rounded HS&E solution partner in protecting our people, the environment, and our assets to support sustainable business growth by building effective relationship, coaching, influencing and supporting stakeholders at all levels within the organization to strengthen HSE culture.
•    Ensure the local HSE management system is effectively designed, implemented, and controlled and meets Firmenich standards, ISO standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
•    Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the site operations and detailed processes and ensure key risks are well-understood and mitigated through the site Management System and action plans.  Ensure a robust but efficient risk-based HSE audit program is in place.
•    Co-own with relevant stakeholders the site HSE continuous improvement plan considering Firmenich HSE global Strategy, HSE global management Principles & Codes, Data, new business requirements, new/updated regulations and employees’ input and by providing data analysis, trending, and recommendations and providing technical and administrative direction on HS&E matters at the site.  
•    Facilitate and support line management through investigation of all injuries, illnesses and incidents, and ensure outputs are used to enhance the management system.
•    Lead local internal audit programs, maintain and improve ISO 14k and 45k standards and ensure success in clients, authorities and certification audits.
 
We Value:
•    A four-year degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field with 5 - 10 years of experience in HS&E in a manufacturing environment.  Industry certifications such as ASP, CSP, CHMM a plus.
•    Strong influential and communication skills, written and verbal.  Ability to convey complex concepts in relatable terms across all levels of the organization. Working knowledge and understanding of HSE regulations and ISO management systems and principles including but not limited to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
•    High proficiency with standard office programs such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.  Ability to manipulate, analyze, and summarize data to provide key insights and develop strategic and tactical plans, and comfortable with working in a lab and manufacturing environment.
•    Strong collaborator who enjoys working across functions to drive improvement.
