Senior Technician - New York, NY

Key Responsibilities:
•    Laboratory maintenance - stocking, ordering, tracking of common supplies, providing clean and sterile labware, upkeep of laboratory equipment, preparing common buffers and cell culture reagents.
•    Supporting high-throughput screening team members during key experimental activities with assistance on automation equipment.
•    Coordinating with Operations Manager to maintain highest possible quality, health, safety, social, environmental and efficiency standards.
•    Maintaining mammalian cell lines and DNA library required for assay implementation.
•    Supporting documentation for laboratory compliance and updating Standard Operating Procedures.

 

Requirements:
•    MS in Biology or related field with 1+ years of experience, or BS with 3+ years experience in an academic or industry R&D laboratory.
•    Previous experience or familiarity with biochemical, molecular and/or cellular biology techniques.
•    Maintains concise and accurate records, and is highly organized.
•    Experience with word processing, Excel, Graph Pad Prism, and PowerPoint.
