Scientist - NYC, NY

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive high-throughput screening campaigns in the field of chemosensation.
• Work in a collaborative environment from hit identification to lead optimization to support ingredient discovery.
• Translate the in vitro data to in vivo outcomes to understand the fundamental pharmacology of olfaction.
• Lead assay development in cell-based signaling transduction specifically for GPCR activation and modulation.
• Interpret and communicate data in cross-departmental project teams for successful technology implementation.

 

Requirements:
• PhD with 2+ years of post-graduate experience in academia or industry; MS in Biochemistry, Biology or related field with 5+ years of experience in an academic or industry R&D laboratory
• Strong knowledge and scientific expertise in biochemical, pharmacological, molecular, and cellular biology techniques.
• Experienced with tip based liquid handlers, automated screening platforms, and plate-based readers for high throughput screening.
• Familiarity with GPCR biology and tools utilized for to interrogate structure activity relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to become proficient with new technologies (equipment and software) and create novel processes that addressed gaps in technology.
• Experience with Computer software including Excel, GraphPad Prism, PowerPoint, R Studio, and Venus.
