Senior Scientist, Assay Development

Key Responsibilities:
•    Investigation of the role and function of olfactory GPCRs to support fundamental science in the flavor and fragrance industry. In vitro cell-based assay development amenable to high-throughput biochemical screening, including stable cell line engineering, pluripotent stem cell differentiation, chaperone identification, and activity reporter technologies.
•    Investigation of proteostasis (protein expression, functionalization, trafficking, and regulation).
•    Maintain up-to-date awareness of relevant emerging knowledge and technologies to continually identify opportunities to improve current procedures, protocols, and systems. 
•    Management of multiple scientific research projects in parallel, including  external collaborations.
•    Analysis, interpretation and communication of data in cross-functional teams to drive project progress and generate novel scientific hypotheses.

We value:
•    Demonstrable skills in Proteomics, Bioinformatics, and/or Transcriptomics, as well as Statistics would be an advantage.
•    Practical and theoretical expertise in biochemistry, pharmacology, and cellular and molecular biology. Drug-discovery or plate-based screening experience would be an advantage.
•    Motivated and intellectually curious scientists with the drive and ability to manage multiple projects, developing solutions to complex biological and technical problems.
•    Team-centric approach with strong collaboration, organizational, time management, and communication skills.
•    REQUIRED: PhD in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biology or related field with 5+ years of post-doctoral experience in an academic or industry R&D laboratory. Demonstrated ability to become proficient with new technologies (equipment and software) and innovate on processes. Experience with software such as Excel, GraphPad Prism, PowerPoint, R Studio, Python.
