Senior Project Manager: Perfumery & Beauty

 

Work Location:  Satigny, Geneva, Switzerland

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage the internal lead disciplines, purchasing, engineering firms, contractors and third parties in all phases of the capital project.
  • Ensure good coordination and flow of communication within the project team
  • Perform the basic engineering studies including appropriate safety and quality reviews in order to prepare the project’s investment files
  • Development of capital project estimates, preparation, and submission of project summaries for approval.
  • Lead and coordinate Conceptual, Basic & Detailed Engineering, permitting, purchasing, construction, commissioning, start-up and hand-over activities
  • Prepare comprehensive project procedure manual including master & detailed schedules showing key milestones and critical path.
  • Conducting all relevant project reviews with participation of key project team members; design, operability & maintainability, process hazards analysis, constructability.
  • Manage the overall project capital goods purchasing effort, specifically the issuing of purchase orders to selected equipment and instrumentation vendors through technical purchasing.
  • Evaluate and render recommendations on change order requests initiated by engineering, fabrication and construction contractors.
  • Arrange for FAT inspections of appropriate purchased equipment and instruments prior to delivery.
  • Facilitate the Pre-Startup Safety Review and ensure necessary action items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Perform project commissioning phase and IQ/OQ stages of the project, Prepare closeout reports and financially close the project in collaboration with Finance and Issue monthly project status reports following Global Engineering Guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the latest approaches and techniques for effective project management.  Participate in creating/reviewing engineering standards.
  • Stakeholder management within the manufacturing operations, engineering and business teams

 

You Bring:

  • BSc degree in Engineering
  • English & French fluently
  • +7 years’ experience of demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in executing major engineering capital projects
  • Strong technical background in the relevant fields (mechanical, E&I, equipment, chemical)
  • Communication:  Clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience
  • Work Standards: Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks
  • Planning and Organizing: Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
