Key Responsibilities

• Lead & develop the New Ingredient Discovery Chemistry team (team of 20 scientists & technicians)
• Provide scientific and project leadership on Science & Research programs towards discovery of biodegradable, renewable & low carbon footprint ingredients for Fragrance creation
• Implement innovative chemistry methodologies
• Develop strong relationships with internal customers in respective Perfumery & Beauty and Taste, Texture & Health business units
• Ensure cross-functional interactions with the global Scientific Innovation Community
• Maintain facilities and equipment & propose investments towards increased digitalization & continuous flow chemistry & automation

You bring:

• Fluent in English, proficiency in French is a plus
• PhD or equivalent in Chemistry with focused expertise in synthetic chemistry. Experience in digitalization, continuous flow chemistry & automation are a plus
• Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry
• Proven people & project management skills and ability to facilitate change
• Passion for chemical innovation and automation
• Data driven approach to project ideation, planning, prioritization, and execution
