Develop and execute global media relations initiatives to enhance dsm-firmenich’s visibility and positive public perception at global scale. This role is as the primary point of contact to media responsible for ensuring positive media coverage, managing media in crisis, and building and maintaining strong relationships with key journalists and media outlets worldwide. This position plays a pivotal role in developing and protecting dsm-firmenich's public perception and reputation.

Your key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals and values.
- Proactively identify media opportunities and cultivate relationships with journalists, editors and influencers.
- Support and guide local communications teams and Business Units to engage with media and build capabilities
- Act as spokesperson for the organization, responding to media inquiries, participating in interviews, and shaping and delivering key messages effectively.
- Co-develop company positions and create press releases, media kits, FAQs and other materials to support media engagement.
- Provide support and/or manage crisis and issue communications in close collaboration with Corporate & Public Affairs and local leaders.

You bring
- Masters in communications, public relations, journalism or business
- Minimum 5 years of experience in media relations, journalism or public affairs
- Proven track record of successful media engagement with expertise in issue and crisis management
- Ability to craft compelling narratives and balanced messaging.
- High level of seniority, given contacts with executive management and company representative function
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and deep understanding of global media landscape
Important notes
This job title is temporary and will be adjusted once the job grading structure for the new Group will be adopted (covering among others: grades’ design, job evaluations, calibration, and job titles’ nomenclature). Until these adjustments are finalized, current compensation packages will be grandfathered for those whose new position turns out to be graded lower than their current position. This temporary period will last not more than 24 months for the legacy DSM Executives or legacy FIR SLT members, and not more than 12-18 months for all other employees from the moment the candidate moves into their new position.
