Global Communications Trainee

The Corporate Communications team, based in Satigny, Geneva, is looking for a

Corporate Communications Intern

 

In this position your mission will be to support the Corporate Communications team working on global projects, in collaboration with network of business communications specialists.

 

Requirements:

  • Only students enrolled at a fully accredited degree programme (Bachelor, Master) with an Internship Agreement can apply
  • Only students who are Swiss, European or with a B Permit can apply

 

Internal Communications 

  • Internal communications postings (supporting our Communications Coordinator)
  • Daily review of Corporate Communications inbox (supporting our Communications Coordinator)
  • Updates to local Firmenich Geneva news page
  • Assist on updates on intranet (Sharepoint) & documents
  • Organizing & updating internal data asset management tool
  • Support Quarterly Media Monitoring Report
  • Support various communication projects
  • Support internal events

 

External Communications 

  • Support of photo & video shootings
  • Support on branding projects
  • Support the team when journalists visit HQ

 

Social Media Community Management & Metrics:

  • Social Media Community Management:             
    • Monitoring
    • Drafting responses & updating FAQ
  • Basic Social Media content creation
    • (IG stories & other formats)
  • Assist on brand ambassador social trainings
  • Social Media tracking
  • Social Media content archiving
  • Supporting Social Media Specialist for content creation & coordination

 

Learning for the student

This mandate will be a very good opportunity to:

  • discover the various métiers and facets of Firmenich from “inside” across all divisions
  • work in a multi-cultural environment and manage complexity as well as a great number of interactions with different stakeholders
  • develop problem solving, priority management skills
  • apply skills in new technologies to maximize communication and promotion of the event
  • learn communications skills, techniques and tools

 

Required skills:

  • Fluency in English and French, both written and oral
  • Good communication skills, ability to interact with any level of the hierarchy and in multi-cultural environment
  • Proficient with office tools and ready to learn Firmenich specific ones
  • Strong knowledge and interest in social media content & platforms
  • Photo & video editing skills are a plus (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
  • Good presentation skills
  • Sense of organization, rigor & ability to analyze varied source of info
  • Able to take initiative and work with autonomy
