Future Fit Innovation Leader

 

Location: London, United Kingdom

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Brings in new expertise and fresh thinking to challenge the status quo and broaden Firmenich’s horizon on future fit topics. Ensures more radical thinking, “breaks the boundaries”, facilitates a “start-up” mentality. Helps team to develop a high-performance innovation culture across all areas of collaboration.
  • Builds customer relationships (intimacy) beyond the traditional fragrance oriented network focusing on our customer´s organization, partner to win (co-innovation) or R&D model innovations.
  • Ensures to interpret our customer´s transformation strategies for potential areas of collaboration in order to position Firmenich as a solution provider above and beyond fragrances. Prepares and facilitates internal decision making to select areas where Firmenich will actually play. 
  • Develops comprehensive strategies covering areas selected for engagement. Sets-up programs accordingly in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads different cross-functional transformational programs and projects of varied sizes and types concurrently in alignment with GBU Leadership and GBU peers. 
  • Manages customer expectations and ensures delivery to exceed expectations.
  • Analyzes competitors’ activities related to innovation partnerships with our customers and develops a corresponding response where relevant.

  • Science background, academic degree in Chemistry or related discipline
  • Education & experience in driving sustainability programs with a large FMCG or Retailer
  • Ability to think and act across different disciplines. Explores differences creatively, finds common ground, adopts different approaches according to situation
  • Strong, passionate presenter communicates well. Is understood in different “cultural” contexts.
  • Ability to drive innovation programs that deliver mutual value and aligned business growth
  • Result oriented approach based on effective process management
