Compounder

Key Responsibilities:


-Operate drum filling machine, centrifuge, cross site bulk transfers, DeltaV, department pumps, filters, scales, and computer systems in order to accurately and properly blend chemicals in a precise manner to create flavor or fragrance product.
-Operate department pumps, filters, scales and computer systems in order to accurately and properly blend chemicals in a precise manner to create flavor product.
-Ability to issue material and resolve SAP related issues associated with transfer orders, inventory discrepancies, material losses
-Verify age and quality of all materials used in a formula.
-Utilize a computer to obtain detailed formula information and availability of raw materials, post batches, check inventory and print labels.
-Ensure understanding of all safety, quality and operational procedures, in order to utilize tools, equipment, electronic/computer systems in compounding and container filling.

 

Requirements:


-High School Diploma / GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of Diploma
-Prior experience handling chemicals.
-Knowledge of compounding and an understanding of special formula instructions.
-Minimum 1-3 years of packing compounding experience.
-Equipment operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Forklift experience
-Knowledge of G.M.P’s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
-Knowledge of H.A.C.C.P (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
-Must be able to work independently.
-Must be able to read and execute work instructions as required on batch sheets and other manufacturing documents including M.S.D.S’s.

 

Physical Requirements:


-Ability to be on your feet up to 90% of the day; frequently lift a 35 lb product hose; frequently move, lift, pull & push up to 50 lbs; required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
-Willingness and ability to work in a facility with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hot & cold);
-Must have the ability to operator a forklift.
