Laboratory Technician

 

Location: Geneva, Switzerland

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Expertise in the field of powder combustion within the process safety labs network (in charge of combustion speeds, resistivity, PSD, flash point, self-heating tests…)
  • Carry out physico-chemical analysis to generate process safety data (density, viscosity, boiling point…)
  • Perform thermal stability studies (DSC, C80, AKTS…)
  • Contribute to process safety hazard analysis or process safety investigations 
  • Collaborate closely with R&D labs & pilot plants for a future safe and efficient implementation of our processes in manufacturing plants
  • Participate in projects related to the life of the safety lab process (5S, safety audits, etc.)

 

We value:

 

  • Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) in chemistry or equivalent (DUT…)
  • Education/experience with minimum 5 years of experience in the fine chemical industry
  • Proven hands on laboratory experience: attention to detail and safety are essential
  • Have a thorough understanding and experience of industrial risks assessment in the chemical industry
  • Capacity to work independently, good organization skills, priority and result oriented
  • Curious, open-minded with excellent communication skills and able to work in a team and the emphasis will be placed both on know-how and on personal skills
  • Fluent in English and French.
