Senior Scientist Knowledge Management


Location: Geneva, Switzerland


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Lead projects to create custom solutions adapted to specific research needs
  • Interact with scientists to translate requirements into use cases and functional specifications
  • Contribute to the development of data analysis and visualization tools
  • Support R&D Users of our Scientific R&D Information Platform
  • Ensure data organization and integrity of relational databases
  • Support the integration of new software releases to maintain a robust and effective system

We value:


  • University degree (preferably Ph.D.) in Science or Engineering, preferably in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cheminformatics and/or Bioinformatics
  • At least 5 years work experience
  • Solid experience with chemical/biological data management systems like Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN), chemical registration systems, and chemical inventory solutions. Familiarity with such products from PerkinElmer (CambridgeSoft) or Dotmatics is a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database management
  • Good knowledge of some programming technologies such as Python, JavaScript (Node.js), HTML + CSS, PHP, .Net, R, and familiarity with tools such as Pipeline Pilot or KNIME is a plus
  • Experience in project management, rigorous, with a strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate cross-functional communication, autonomous, with strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative
