Plant Controller

This function will  be reporting to the Regional Controller Asia and this role is primarily focused on Firmenich plant in Indonesia – Karawang Plant and trading affiliates like  Thailand, Vietnam and Australia.
It plays a key role on controlling activities and plant management and will  be based at Firmenich Karawang Plant in KIIC area.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • PEC (Period End Closing): Drive Controlling related tasks in CLOCO tracker (in SAP), ensure timely and accurate completion and actively support to the Finance Manager on their queries.
  • Internal/External Audits and Compliance: Actively support to the Local Finance Manager in on-going for all related areas to Costing and plant activities. Timely closing of ICS control tasks related to CO.
  • Monthly Reportings: Actively participation in monthly Operation meetings such as Monthly expenses review, LPC book, Cost per Kilo, MoH bridges, Capex tracking, S&OP and Inventory drum beat meeting during the monthly management reviews and / or any other regular management meetings.
  • Forecast/Latest Estimates: Lead to provide quarterly estimates for Manufacturing Volume, SC Expenses, Capex, Inventory losses and variances and support to Operations on MOH forecasting.
  • Annual Budgets: Lead on all aspects related to annual budgeting activities such as Cost center review, Capex budgets, Costing lot size reviews, Production Planning, Landing/Additive cost validation, Expenses budgeting, Activity price review, and updates in annual Standard Costings and analysis.
  • Business Cases and One Operation Projects: Lead on One Operation Business Cases for investment or Strategic Scenarios, Financial and Operational viability of projects, actively participation on project reviews and quarterly Business case tracking. Take a lead on other One operations projects e.g. Productivity or Efficiency improvement, Cost Savings and other operational initiatives etc.
  • Controlling Initiatives: Implement Controlling culture and promoting all available such tools such as WiKi, SC Dashboard etc., Participate and contribute in Controlling Toolbox initiatives.
  • Ad hoc tasks assigned by management

 

We value:

  • Degree in Accounting and finance or equivalent with 8 years of relevant working experience
  • Good Excel spreadsheet and numeracy skills combined with an inquiring & analytical mind. SAP knowledge is a must
  • Good analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Preferably  with  4  years  minimum  of  accounting  experience  in  a  manufacturing  environment including product costing and inventory accounting exposure
  • Positive work attitude, Self-Starter, Hand -on and able to work independently
  • Excellent  interpersonal  skills  with  the  ability  to  communicate  at  all  levels with both financial and non-financial personnel
