Senior Account Manager (to be based in Indonesia)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and strengthen relationships with local UL organization, with focus on CCBT involved with business decisions
  • Develop prioritization in country, category & brand opportunities and execute accordingly
  • Receive & respond to local briefings, primarily based on collection fragrances.
  • Generate new business opportunities as per local trends and needs, following the C4G “rules of the game” and actively promote & support implementation of new (global) wins.
  • Build personal relationships with key stakeholders to increase Firmenich’s visibility to a broader audience and promote Firmenich as a capable strategic solution provider.
  • Seeks opportunities continuously & pro-actively provide feedback to C4G Program Manager for portfolio improvement in alignment with the X-Category Portfolio Team
  • Seeks opportunities continuously & pro-actively for profitability improvement in alignment with Commercial Operations Team
  • Re-direct regional/global briefings to and collaborates with the global core category GBU Team
  • Mobilizes Firmenich (development) resources as needed to fulfill country-specific needs and engages actively and socially in local communities.


We value:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent (business administration, economics, marketing, science...)
  • Minimum 3 years of sales or marketing experience in consumer goods or chemistry industry with strong passion for clients and products
  • Good understanding of Fragrance industry and global FMCG organization with the ability to sell concept and abstract ideas
  • Good olfactive & technical knowledge to be relevant for UL partners
  • Strong overall business acumen and a strategic thinker
  • Empathic self-starter with excellent people skills
  • Ability to develop successfully client relationship and to position Firmenich as a key business partner
  • A creative problem solver - operates with a solution focused approach; resourceful in overcoming obstacles and  an Out of box thinker – ability to see opportunities other don’t see with a strategic intent
  • Strong communication and influencing skill
  • Commercially savvy with good negotiation skill – ability to ‘close the deal’
  • Keen ability to identify and communicate local country market and consumer trend
