Regional Sales Manager

Position: Regional Account Manager, LEVANT, Taste & Beyond

 

Location: Beirut, Lebanon

Reporting into: Senior Distribution Manager, Taste & Beyond

Role scope covers LEVANT region

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

In close cooperation with our Distributor, lead and manage the commercial operations for Firmenich – Taste and Beyond Division in Levant. The successful candidate will be based in Beirut, Lebanon and will be responsible to grow sales and profitability according to set objectives.  

 

  • Together with partners, identify business potential in the area of responsibility, develop successful working relationship with (new and existing) clients; establish Firmenich as key partner for clients and obtain briefs for profitable business.
  • Get clear and complete briefing from clients, translate their needs into projects; communicate to creation and development teams ; Negotiate with clients’ commercial terms, including payment terms, prices.
  • Share regular reports on project progress, new briefs, sales estimates and competitor activity; Share visit reports, client information and feed-backs, and when needed conduct post-mortem analysis.
  • Work closely with SBU and marketing on proactive initiatives, promotions and innovation days.
  • Ensure high level of service to clients by managing products life cycle and forecast together with customer care and supply chain departments; Work closely with sales assistant/sales support as part of the client team.
  • Actively be involved in managing, growing and supporting Distributor/Agents, and if required, take the lead in onboarding new/additional partners.
  • Build the account sales budget annually, monitor sales and profitability versus objectives, and provide input to quarterly Sales forecast; monitor and optimize all other financial aspects of the account, in particular the account receivables and ensure timely payment by the client of due invoices.

 

We value:

 

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent, Degree in Food technology is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in selling flavors or food ingredients in the Levant region.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent Influencing skills to deliver business imperatives and drive different/innovative selling styles (outside of brief driven).
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, define, prioritize and implement action plans to achieve targets and objectives.
  • Computer literacy (Must be proficient in the Microsoft Suite Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook); Excellent command of English and Arabic languages
