SENIOR DIRECTOR GLOBAL ENGINEERING & PMO

Location: Castets, Nouvelle-Aquitaine

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Director, Global Engineering & PMO, to join the Ingredients Global Operations team.

The Ingredients Global Operations represents the worldwide manufacturing network of the Firmenich Ingredients Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Lead the Global Engineering Portfolio & Projects Management for the Ingredients Business Unit across its worldwide manufacturing network
• Manage the Global Engineering Projects Managers team with members located in the main manufacturing sites (Europe, India, United States)
• Deliver with her/his team the CapEx Plan, ensuring that the projects are completed safely, on time, on budget and to specifications:

• Responsible for the project management of the Large and Mid-size CapEx
• Delegate the small size CapEx to the local Plants engineering, coach and support the local teams to deliver

• Lead the CapEx Projects Management Office
  • Ensure consolidation and control of the CapEx last estimate
  • Collaborate with the strategic input for the 5-year master plan
• Pursue the expertise & organization development of the Engineering projects and portfolio management function
  • Implement and improve the Engineering standards/methodologies, incorporating lean and value engineering principles
  • Collaborate with Procurement to manage and optimize partnerships with the key suppliers and engineering services
  • Report activity and performance indicators

• Portfolio and project management expertise
• 15+ years of prior engineering leadership experience in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Food industries
• Deep understanding of Operations, Capital projects, Maintenance and Engineering in an international environment and related KPIs
• Demonstrated previous experience in Process Engineering, Project Engineering or Maintenance, both in a direct implementation role and a supervisory role
• Excellent team management and communication skills
• Availability for the mobility of up to 30%
• Fluent in English and intermediate level in french
