Senior Account Manager

Location: Barcelona, Spain

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Client portfolio: Regional and local clients based in Spain and Portugal
  • Develop strong network and drive business vitality for a successful long term business relationship including winning new projects and defending Firmenich core supplier status
  • Implement corporate sales strategy and margins policies, by negociating with clients favorable commercial terms, including payment terms, prices and credit-collection.
  • Identify & document business opportunities & potentials, competitive landscape and also decision factors, success criteria and define action plan accordingly
  • Build the account sales budget annually, monitor sales and profitability versus objectives
  • Translates client requirements and manage expectations by effective communication and ultimate selection and submission of winning flavour.
  • Coordinate and be the leader in Iberian & International projects for flavours with the European Center of Excellence Business Units.

  • Min 10 years of successful flavor/ingredient sales experience with multiple clients in Food and Beverage  segments
  • Ability to develop successfully client relationship and to position Firmenich as a key business partner
  • Business & Finance acumen (pricing, sales & profitability, expenses, client overdue...)
  • Sales and Negotiation skills
  • Good team player, and good communication skills, seen as a strong partner by the development teams involved in clients’ projects
  • Professional English with French preferred
