Dsm-firmenich indirect procurement team is seeking for an experience Digital & Tech Lead to join our team and drive strategic and efficient procurement of Digital and Tech services, resources, and materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost optimization, managing vendor relationships, mitigating risks, and supporting the organization in achieving D&T package objectives while delivering value to the organization. This pivotal role will drive the strategic management and oversight of global procurement activities related to D&T. 

 

Reporting to the Head of Business, Digital and Marketing Services Procurement, she/he is accountable for the development and the implementation of D&T procurement strategies into key areas (application, software & hardware, networking, telecom, hosting, outsourced services, D&T external resources, contractors, and consultants) to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

 

As member of the Indirect team, she/he will actively be participating in defining and deploying the team vision and mission and animating the overall agenda by being accountable for the overall results. 
-    Global Scope with 3 team members and Digital & Tech function as key stakeholders, especially at an executive level. 
-    Spend ~250MEur (Opex/Capex), 2’000 suppliers, savings of mid/high single digit %, reduction of 25+% supplier base and increase of payment terms to best in class.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Work together with D&T leadership team to align sourcing strategies with the overall business road map and agenda, ensure business needs are well captured. 
  • Operate within the Cost Governance model as D&T procurement package owner 
  • Work with her/his team, finance and the business to define, animate and monitor initiative pipelines to drive overall value for the business as cost savings, growth opportunity and cash.
  • Responsible to drive supplier partnership excellence where meaningful, ensure compliance with internal and external policies/regulations and secure risk management through supply continuity and preserving company reputation
  • Infuse Corporate Social Responsibility standards and considerations into sourcing decisions, promoting ethical and sustainable practices in supplier relationships.
  • As people leader, she/he will be responsible for the continued development, goal setting and engagement of her/his team.

You bring

  • Master’s' degree into procurement
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Digital and Tech Strategic Sourcing and leadership roles regionally and globally, other industries experience is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking and strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability to influence and motivate with multiple stakeholders and collaborators at all levels.
  • Team-oriented and results driven, dynamic and proactive personality with high ethical standards.
  • Financial literacy and ability to contribute to cost optimization.
  • Collaboration, Perseverance, Growth mindset, Compliance 
  • English required, other languages a plus.
