Finance Transformation Project Management Office (PMO) Lead

This role is critical to accompany the function in the Finance Transformation journey, and to ensure broad success on the full process. We are looking for a senior and experienced PMO Lead to join asap the current transformation leadership team and reporting to the Global Transformation Lead for Finance.

Your key responsibilities


Ensure the current vision established for organization, processes, systems and reporting come together in a coherent and detailed execution plan, ensuring all deliverables are consistent across the three pillars and correctly sequenced. This also includes supporting the delivery of business plan underscoring the value of systems / process investments. 

  • Include the transformation in a broader Finance project planning – i.e. act as single point of contact for all Finance project implementation activities 
  • Anticipate the need for broader stakeholder management, including with D&T / IT, Human Resources, Legal (where applicable) and BU leadership including supporting change management activities in hands of dedicated resource. 
  • Ensure adequate resource planning and adjustment to potential challenges underway. 
  • Ensure individual projects carry clear success criteria and establish regular follow up and tracking with transformation pillar leads 
  • Ensure that the transition of critical processes to CoE / Shared Services or between finance subfunctions is well prepared and seamless, including contingency plans to ensure minimal disruption during execution time 
  • Help manage 3rd party relationships where relevant (SoW, budget tracking, expenses payments tracking, …) 
  • Lead the change management agenda for Finance. Ensure the impact to the existing Finance organization is manageable and that engagement is regularly monitored through surveys. 
  • Report out to CFO and ExCo during steering committees and executive meetings. Be a true co-pilot to the DSM-Firmenich Finance Leadership Team.

You bring

 

  • We are looking for an experienced individual with relevant and proved experience in project management and complex PMO projects, as well as solid Finance and IT background.
  • Experience in transition of tasks to shared services / CoE environment are equally a must. 
  • The individual will further possess strong track record of leadership, communication (English command a must) and presentation abilities as well as knowledge of SAP and planning tool systems. The individual will be comfortable liaising with internal executive leadership as well as external contractors / senior partners. 
  • While location is flexible, we will expect the individual to be flexible to join workshops in different regions and / or travel to our main offices in Kaiseraugst / Maastricht / Geneva and Barcelona.
