Director, Supply Chain Domain Data Architect

Location: Barcelona, Spain


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the transition to an industry leading Supply Chain Data Architecture and Technologies which underpin the Firmenich Digital Supply Chain Transformation.
  • Prepare and translate the long-term business vision into a short and mid-term technology roadmap for the Firmenich Supply Chain in alignment with the overall IT roadmap for the Firmenich Technology landscape
  • Own and deliver the roadmap for the Supply Chain Data Architecture (technologies, platform and infrastructure) covering Planning, Transport, Distribution, Procurement, Manufacturing & Customer Experience
  • Co-govern the Firmenich Supply Chain Solution Technologies, Integration & Architecture/Landscape in order to effectively manage evolution of the architecture/framework for the SC solutions/platforms.
  • Work with Solution Owners and business leads, setting up guide-rails and guidelines for making technology and data architecture design decisions for Firmenich Supply Chain solutions.
  • Use knowledge of defined reference architectures, technology trends, and implementation experience in order to translate a business need into a solution blueprint that represents an end-to-end technical solution
  • Define the guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure product-based decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision; specifically supporting the Firmenich Digital Supply Chain Transformation.


We value:


  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in data architecture, database/data warehouse/ data mining development, data analytics, data integration or a similar field.
  • Deep knowledge of best practice data and semantic models within the SC domain.
  • Able to understand and communicate complex issues and solutions
  • Excellent project management skills / highly experienced in managing budgets and schedules.
  • Experience with advanced analytics, machine-learning and Industry 4.0 transformations
  • Fluent in English, fluent in French is a plus.
