Plant Maintenance Mechanic | DRT America, Rincon,
POSITION SUMMARY
The Plant Maintenance Mechanic will work in a multi-craft role and be responsible for performing routine mechanical/electrical and equipment repairs to the plant including waste water treatment, utilities and buildings.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring that all work is done in a manner that supports the Site’s safety and environmental programs
- Servicing and overseeing repairs of all types of equipment including instruments, piping, pumps, valves, etc.as
- Installs, inspects, troublesoots, repair and maintain electrical systems
- Conducting preventive maintenance.
- Performing inspections on equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and safe shop work environment.
- Providing support to other mechanics engaged in equipment repairs or maintenance.
- Performing assigned work orders and entering maintenance work history on computerized maintenance management software system (CMMS).
- Operating mobile equipment including forklifts, scissor and articulating lifts.
- Ability to perform work in confined spaces and using supplied air, if required
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED;
- 3-5 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility in a related industry may be substituted for the above.
- Repair and maintenance knowledge of industrial equipment
- Experience with chemical process and utility equipment
- Electrical and Instramentation expierence
- Skills in electrical, PLC, carpentry, welding, pipefitting, machinery alignment, millwright, plumbing, rigging, hydraulics.
- Basic knowledge of CMMS.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a small team based environment
