POSITION SUMMARY

Pinova Incorporated is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Electrical & Instrumentation department at our Brunswick, Georgia plant, a 24 hour/7 day a week production facility. The E&I Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the work activities of an entire E&I crew, providing technical expertise and leadership for overall plant electrical and automation systems. As a member of the plant supervisor staff, this position will be required to coordinate closely with production to ensure the electrical and automation needs of the plant are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly supervising employees in the Maintenance Department.
  • Managing the work of outside contractors.
  • Development of Standard Maintenance Procedures and Preventative Maintenance Plans for electrical and controls Equipment.
  • Investigating Root Cause of Equipment Failures.
  • Maintaining Equipment Records in CMMS (SAP).
  • Developing BOMs for Equipment.
  • Developing Maintenance Reports.
  • Develop and track maintenance KPIs.
  • Identify and implement improvements to plant equipment and services.
  • Maintaining equipment files for process equipment in the SAP document system.
  • Managing SAP Maintenance PvM and PdM program; creating\updating tasks list, maintenance plans and scheduling within SAP.
  • Consistently improving housekeeping at the facility leads efforts in 5S.
  • Providing support of capital improvements and management of projects as required.
  • Coordinated Scheduling and planning area and plant outages.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Attending and actively participating in all safety meetings.
  • Creating maintenance notifications, work order conversion for internal labor, external resources and materials.
  • Creating purchase requisitions within SAP for procurement of external services and materials.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance and rewarding and disciplining employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Analyzing operational problems and developing modifications in design to improve efficiency.
  • Providing back up support to Maintenance Manager.
  • Assuring staff are properly trained and follow safe work practices.
  • Assisting in controlling cost by monitoring tool / equipment inventories and conditions.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; or 10+ years’ maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment or Associates degree in electrical technology / electrical controls with 5 years industrial experience
  • Electrical license is highly desired
  • Experience supervising people and/or leading teams.
  • Other related technical/leadership experience and/or certifications a plus.
  • PSM plant experience required.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental issues. Knowledge of OSHA hazardous work procedures. Willingness to adhere to and support all safety and health rules, plant rules, procedures and guidelines.
  • Computer proficiency, specifically the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook, SAP and ability to learn to use proprietary databases and other computer-based applications. Knowledgeable in the use of CMMS systems. SAP planning and scheduling required.
  • Strong electrical and instrumentation expertise.
  • Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven solid work ethic and ability to work well with others as well as independently.
  • Must be open-minded and adaptive to change, promote the collective interests of the team, able to resolve problems in a respectful manner.
